Killing Snow

While thinking of possible ways to re-tell the story of Snow White, I thought up one that I loved so much that I immediately started plotting it in my mind. I can be impulsive at times :D. Even if I don't know how far this story will go (at the moment, at least), I figured I could put it up here.

Started:
3/11/16 (started) - 6/16/16 (first draft) - 8/4/16 (second draft) - 8/12/16 (third draft) - 12/11/16 (fourth draft) - 2/15/17 (fifth draft)

Status:

First Draft Finished. 13,722 words. Second Draft Finished. 23,370 words. Third Draft Finished. 23,756 words. Fourth Draft Finished. 25,852 words. Fifth Draft Finished. 26,581 words.

Genre:
YA sci-fi/fairytale retelling

Main Character:
Raven Gale

Description:
Raven Gale is trapped upon an airship that only ever sees the sky, and the one who holds the secret to landing once again won’t give it. The gorgeous princess Snow White never speaks to anyone, abuses her rule, and is protected by six trained assassins. Overthrowing her is impossible. But despite the odds, two unlikely girls decide it is time to try. No matter what the cost.
And great beauty such as Snow’s always comes with a great price …

The Dreamer's Game

A random plot bunny that I got driving home from a parade we were in. It has been escalating :D. And it very well may be my 2016 NaNo novel. We'll see!

Started:
7/04/16

Status:
Working on the first draft

Genre:
YA contemporary fantasy

Main Character:
Maria Knight

Description:
Maria’s phantoms appeared when her sister, Silvia – whom she hates – went missing.
Now Maria’s trapped in her own Dreams because of her sister, and she can’t go home until she’s played the Game, a giant’s version of chess with pieces that have minds of their own.
Also, she must rescue Silvia – who’s been trapped in the Dreams, too.

A swamp with grey skies, a Silver Queen’s cave, a land of mighty dragons. A black Bus that brings Death in its wake. A wooden Prince, a friendless ghost, a girl in chains.
To free Silvia, and herself, she must free them, too.
But every decision she makes moves one of her chess pieces – and they are being killed.
Maria’s mind has betrayed her. This is a Game she can’t afford to lose.

Yes, I have a dozen more stories that are swirling around my head (and rough drafts of some of those, even), and I might add those later. But for now, those are the two that I'm really working on.

Short Stories I've Posted On Here:

(they're not my best work - but read them if you so wish!)

    2. That's the among of words I have . That in writers terms
Is a novella not a novel. I'm Trying to write a full scale novel
Which is 50k words. I post each section on my
