About Me

Hello to you who've stumbled into my corner of the internet! Welcome to Scattered Scribblings - I'm Savannah Grace. Writer, reader, dreamer, and child of the King.
But if you're on this page, you're wanting to know more than that, aren't you?

   - I am a Christian
(I've said it once, but I can say it again.)

   - I spend way too much time reading
(which also means that I have way too many favorite books)

   - I am a Tolkien addict
(not so much of an addict that I've thoroughly read The Silmarillion, but still an addict.)

   - Writing is my passion
(and it has been since I was about ten years old - though I got more serious around age thirteen)

   - I refuse to write without a gel pen
(yes, that's important enough to be listed)

   - I am ISTP
          (well, as of 8/27/16, anyways)

   - I am a homeschooled teen
          (being homeschooled is wonderful)

   - I enjoy Harry Potter
(in the Ravenclaw house. Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure, and all that.)

   - ... also, I'm kinda undefinable
(can you tell that I have a hard time with lists like this?)

Well, there is me in a teeny-tiny little nutshell. Hope you got to know me a little better - and that you'll stick around! It'd be fun to get to know you *nods*.

  1. Great page, Savannah! And I am so TOTALLY sticking around until you're sick of me, but you've pretty much gotten to know me already. ;)
Whoa, whoa, wait: you're ISTP? That's what I got the first time. Interesting.

    1. Thank you, Hanna! I kinda assumed as much :D.
Yup - I was ESTJ, but that didn't seem quite accurate. So I took it again and got ISTP, which seemed a little bit better.

I was about to e-mail your mom to access your private blog but forget (that's unfortunate, but not surprising if you know me XD) I'm so happy I found you through one of your comments on goteenwriters!!!!!!!!!!!! And you're really pretty by the way (a little random, but true). Can't wait to read more!!!

  5. That's so neat that you're an ISTP! (Not that that puts you in any kind of box or anything) My MC's best friend is an ISTP and I have never met one before. XD

  6. So I know someone else who's admitted they're kind of undefinable. How nice! Isn't it terrible when someone asks you to introduce yourself? You have to go through everything you know and sort out what they need to know and it's so awkward.

  7. Hello Savannah!
I'm Angela, a teenage homeschooler who lives on a ranch in TN (Step By Step Sanctuary)! :D I'm a writer, that's one of the gifts Yahweh gave me. My family and I are Hebrew Christians. :)
It's nice to meet you! I'm enjoying your blog. =) Merry Christmas.

  11. That's it. I'm starting my blog. Right now. :D I found you through Go Teen Writers too--and I'm honestly a bit surprised there are so many of us.

Have you ever heard of April Freeman? She's another teen writer, and her first post was really amazing. I read it when I'm uninspired, and after it I get right back to writing!

  16. Hi Savannah! I just stumbled onto your blog a couple of weeks ago. From what I can tell, you sound A LOT like me! I'm definitely a writer and a reader. (Yes, I also identify myself as a Tolkien addict. And I definitely love Harry Potter - people have told me I'm in Ravenclaw, but according to Pottermore, I'm a Hufflepuff.) I am also a homeschooled teen; I've been homeschooled all my life. And I am also a Christian. I feel like God is calling me to use my passion (writing) for Him to share the gospel with people. (I recently started blogging and that's what I blog about - writing and the Gospel, and how they go together sometimes.)

ALSO... and I find this really cool, it sounds like you like to write the same kinds of stories as I do. :) I usually write in the fantasy/sci-fi genre (usually both of them combined). And this was also my first year doing NaNoWriMo! (It was fun!)

Anyway, I think it's awesome how much we have in common... maybe we'll get to know each other more. :)

    1. (good gracious, I'm inexcusably late to reply to this - so sorry!)

Well, two of my sisters are Hufflepuffs, and I'm a Ravenclaw, so I guess you've got the best of both Houses :D. It's so cool how alike we are! I love meeting other Christian girls on the blogosphere. I'll have to make sure to check out your blog ;).

Sci-fi/fantasy? That's so epic! *highfive* I love NaNoWriMo so much, I never missed out on any of them after I started.

  17. Heyyy fellow Christian-homeschooled-book-obsessed-writer teen! :P We really have a lot in common. Being homeschooled really IS wonderful (it's always been more of an advantage than a hindrance). I also spend waaay too much reading--like, to the point where I'm reading instead of doing important school projects (whoops!)

So cool to find someone with so much in common with me! ^_^

  19. Hi there!
I absolutely love your blog! It's so fun and encouraging!
My name is Livy and I'm the founder of an online magazine for Christian girls called Crown of Beauty. (www.crownofbeautymagazine.com)

I'm getting ready to release a brand new novel called The Coronation and I'm planning a Blog Tour with my fellow sisters in Christ! Would you be interested in being a part of this? Post ideas include doing a review, an author interview, a giveaway, or even something fun and unique like a character interview!

If you're interested in learning more about this, The Coronation, and what it would look like to be involved, send me an email! (crownofbeautymagazine@yahoo.com) I look forward to hearing from you! <3

    1. Hi, Livy! Thank you SO much, that's really encouraging to hear :D. (and I'll have to check out your magazine soon!)

The Coronation - that's a beautiful book title! I might be interested, depending on whether the timing of the tour works out. Do you mind giving me a little more information on the book before I commit to anything? How clean is it, and what genre is it in?
If it interests me, I'll go ahead and email you ;).

I love when my readers leave a comment or three (so thank you if you do!)! But keep 'em clean, because I don't want to need to delete them. And check back - I always try to reply.
