July Book Haul Vlog

July 17, 2017

'Tis the middle of a hot, hot summer, so I'm doing what bookdragons do best - burrowing beneath an invincible fortress of books and reading to my heart's content (you can join me in the fortress, but only if you contribute books - we'll turn it into the great Winter Library, where we never have to melt xD). Which means that I've also been buying a lot of books to add to said fortress.

Want to see the latest additions?

July Book Haul Vlog - Post Header Image (Unraveling by Sara Ella in front of a bookshelf)

Some of you guys said you wanted to see me do a book haul, so here we are! My apologies that the color and quality of the video aren't quite up to par (*cough* and for the fact that the bookshelf behind me is a mess, I'm working on reorganizing my books *cough*), Ariel and I were having some technical issues - just pretend to ignore it xD. Onto the book haul vlog!

And ... well, I don't mention it in the video, but I just got some more books (wherever shall I put them all *winces*). Perhaps there's another book haul vlog in the future? xD

I hope you guys enjoyed that! It was so much fun to tape. And do tell me down in the comments if a book review in vlog form would be fun for y'all, because I think it would be highly amusing to do!

~ Savannah Grace

What have been your latest book findings? Are you hiding from the summer heat? Which of these books should I review (and should I do it in vlog form?)?

  1. NO DON'T READ THE SIXTH MICHAEL VEY FIRST!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good job finding that one on discount, though :P

But this was a great book haul. I wish I could afford to buy more books/had a good second-hand bookstore in my town. There isn't one :(

DON'T READ THE SIXTH BOOK. PUT IT DOWN RIGHT NOW AND BACK AWAY SLOWLY.

    1. WAIT, THERE HAS BEEN MISUNDERSTANDING xD. I've already read the whole series (up to book five), so three would have been a re-read. But it was MAJORLY confusing to read one of the earlier books in the series, and one of the later ones, too xD.

Thanks, Faith! Aw, seriously? That's too bad, I love buying second-hand books. Maybe you can get your books when Amazon has sales ;).

  3. Ahh, Michael Vey! I'm so stoked to read the final book of the series, although it's kind of sad since another series ends :'( I'm so happy you found the Inkheart trilogy all together, though-- I've been trying to find a used set since forever but it hasn't been a good search.

AND YES BOOKS ARE A HEALTHY OBSESSION. xD

    1. Same here! I both want to read the final book, but at the same time it's going to be so SAD!
I actually ended up buying two used copies of Inkheart - one is hardcover and the other is paperback - and now I have to decided which one to keep! xD I hope your searching for the series goes well!

  7. Hey Savannah I tagged you for the Sunshine Blogger tag a while back but never got around to telling you :P http://thisinkwell.blogspot.ca/2017/07/early-writings-tag-this-should-be-very.html

Anyway, I like your vlogs. Cause in those I've seen you are to-the-point and don't go around with lots of "ums" and "uhs" and "ehs" and so forth xD You do it fast - that's how I like to talk :D

    1. Ooh, thank you so much, Lisa! I'll take a peek at that as soon as I can :D.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this! I'm a pretty fast talker in real life (*highfives fellow fast-talker*), so I don't even have TIME to say 'um' during my vlogs xD. Thanks for commenting, Lisa!

  9. OH MY GOSH THE CLOCKWORK THREE *combusts* it's such a phenomenal read! I hope you enjoy it <3 And yesss, Inkheart is such a lovely trilogy! Inkdeath was my favorite installment <3

Ahhh, I need to read The Maze Runner! And I also want to read The Boy Who Lost Fairyland. I'll probably end up checking it out from the library, but your copy is so gorgeous! How well does it fit in with the rest of the Fairyland books? Are September, El, and Saturday involved, or is there an entirely new cast?

    1. OOH, now that you've said it's good, I want to read it even MORE! I'm so so excited to get started on it, I can't wait! And yes, Inkdeath was incredible, oh my word. That series <3 <3.

The Maze Runner is so good - I actually liked it better as a reread! And oh my, THE BOY WHO LOST FAIRYLAND <3 <3. I don't think September, El, and Saturday come in until the last few chapters, so it's almost like there's a new cast? But the "new cast" of characters is just as lovable!

  12. I'd love if you reviewed "The Maze Runner" in vlog form :) It's on my wishlist, but I really do want more peoples' opinions on it before (possibly) buying it.

I recently finished "Dear Mr. Knightley" by Katherine Reay, and it was amazing! Have you read it?

    1. Really? Cool, I might do that ;). It's a really good book, but it really depends on what you're comfortable reading.

The title rings a bell, but I haven't read it yet - but if you liked it, I might have to check it out!

  13. YAAAY. SAVANNAH AND ARIEL BLOG. MY FAVE!!!

Okay, I am toootally jealous of your book haul. You got most of those for a DOLLAR???? O_O They're in such perfect condition! And all gorgeous covers. *drools*

I've never heard of The Clockwork Three, but it looks super intriguing! BUT SPLINTERED. I have been wanting to read that for AGES. It's an Alice in Wonderland retelling so obviously I need it!!!!!!!!! And I've heard it's one of the best AiW retellings. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it! I haven't read The Girl Who Drank the Moon either, but I've heard really good things about it! And I could just stare at the Unraveling cover all day. So pwettyyyyy. o__o

This is an amazing book haul! AMAZING.

It is SO weird you were thinking about doing a book review in vlog form. Because literally this morning it hit me how fun it'd be do to book reviews via a vlog. (I've been super tempted to do some vlogs lately and have been running ideas through my head...) SO HECK YES I WANT YOU TO DO SOME VLOG BOOK REVIEWS. That'd be awesome!!! :D

Loved this so much! Thank you for sharing with us. ^_^

(By the way, I WANT TO JOIN YOU IN YOUR INVINCIBLE WINTER LIBRARY FORTRESS. YES PLEASE. It's sooo hot right now. Ugh.)
